Senior Vice President, Strategy, Planning and Sustainability

May leads the development and execution of Capital Power’s corporate strategy and sustainability direction and is accountable for the long-term planning process. She provides strategic guidance on current and emerging technologies. She is responsible for assessing, exploring, and developing other strategic growth initiatives through potential relationships, structures, and partnership opportunities that align with corporate goals.

May has over 20 years of electricity industry experience, including fundamental forecasting, commercial asset management, environmental analytics, project assessments and valuations. In her previous role as Vice President of Strategy, Forecasting & Sustainability at Capital Power, she led the corporate strategy, integration of sustainability priorities, and ESG disclosure and reporting. May also oversaw Capital Power’s corporate analytics and commodity risk management team responsible for developing market assessment analytics across North American power markets.
